What are precast concrete pavers, and do you know the uses of stone-effect precast concrete pavers?

Precast concrete pavers are a new type of material, also called polycarbonate bricks. They possess concrete-like properties including corrosion resistance, impact resistance, durability, high strength and fire resistance. They are low-cost, easy to process and colourfast, with stone-mimicking visual effects. There are barely noticeable variations or colour differences between different production batches. They are widely used in landscapes, roads, river embankments and building projects.

PC stands for Prefabricated Concrete Structure, which means prefabricated assembled concrete structure.

Precast concrete pavers integrate many advantages of natural stone. They meet market requirements for high efficiency, cost-effectiveness, energy saving, environmental protection and low consumption. After years of development, they have been widely accepted in the new landscape material market and applied in plazas, roadways, buildings and various landscape works. Containing no radioactive substances, Precast concrete pavers retain most merits of marble at a more competitive price.

Production process of Precast concrete pavers:

1. Crush natural stone powder of uniform quantity and specification, mix with decorative flakes of different textures, cement and additives in a certain proportion. Vibrate and stir the mixture evenly for moulding.

2. Conduct steam curing. Carry out secondary material distribution and compaction on the concrete base layer, followed by sealed steam curing and demoulding. Two curing methods are available after demoulding.

3. Use milling and grinding machines to create uniform surface textures such as burnt finish, lychee surface, stripes or grid patterns, to achieve the look of natural stone.
